Extraction Analyst I

POSITION SUMMARY:

Perform various laboratory tests and experiments following established procedures and protocols. Assists Data Analyst in day-to-day operations of department.

ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collects, prepares, and analyzes samples, ensuring accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
Records and documents experimental procedures, observations, and results accurately. Maintains detailed and organized records for future reference.
Implements and adheres to quality control measures to ensure the reliability and reproducibility of results.
Regularly reviews standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Follows safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Identifies and address potential hazards promptly.
Ensures accurate and timely documentation of experimental procedures, results, and other relevant information. Maintains comprehensive and organized records for audit purposes.

REPORTS TO: Department Group Leader

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

No supervisory responsibilities.

Ability to problem-solve, make decisions, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance standards.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in relevant field

PHYSICAL AND VISUAL REQUIREMENTS:

Work requires normal mental and visual attention along with manual coordination. Work is generally not sedentary; the individual is frequently required to stand, move about laboratory and office (or production) areas. The employee may occasionally move materials up to 20 pounds.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Able to read, comprehend, and convey information in Basic English. Ability to read and interpret technical information.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/TRAVEL:

The incumbent regularly performs work in a typical laboratory environment and production areas where exposed to dust, heat, chemicals and hazards. Travel is not required.
