Extraction Analyst I

POSITION SUMMARY:

Perform various laboratory tests and experiments following established procedures and protocols.  Assists Data Analyst in day-to-day operations of department. 

 

ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collects, prepares, and analyzes samples, ensuring accuracy and adherence to quality standards.

  • Records and documents experimental procedures, observations, and results accurately. Maintains detailed and organized records for future reference.

  • Implements and adheres to quality control measures to ensure the reliability and reproducibility of results.

  • Regularly reviews standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  • Follows safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Identifies and address potential hazards promptly.

  • Ensures accurate and timely documentation of experimental procedures, results, and other relevant information. Maintains comprehensive and organized records for audit purposes.

REPORTS TO:  Department Group Leader

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

No supervisory responsibilities.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong understanding of laboratory extraction techniques, procedures, and safety protocols.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.

  • Effective communication, interpersonal skills, and teamwork abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to problem-solve, make decisions, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance standards.

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: 

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field

PHYSICAL AND VISUAL REQUIREMENTS:

Work requires normal mental and visual attention along with manual coordination.  Work is generally not sedentary; the individual is frequently required to stand, move about laboratory and office (or production) areas. The employee may occasionally move materials up to 20 pounds.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Able to read, comprehend, and convey information in Basic English.  Ability to read and interpret technical information.

  • Organizing, planning, and prioritizing work

WORK ENVIRONMENT/TRAVEL:

The incumbent regularly performs work in a typical laboratory environment and production areas where exposed to dust, heat, chemicals and hazards. Travel is not required.
